Biography
Mia Katherine Boyle is a singer-songwriter from the Pacific Northwest. She studied music and art history on the east coast and found her way to Seattle in 1990 where she volunteered as a late-night dj for 'listener powered' KCMU-fm. There she was honored to meet and promote a fascinating community of musicians, artists, poets, filmmakers, dancers, thrill-seekers and nomads. While at the station she began collaborating with her friends, playing in various bands: Radial Arm Saw, Moxie, Bullet Train, as well as singing on a soundtrack and providing back up vocals for various projects.
Over the years she has played in many bands and had various roles in music, primarily as a singer/songwriter and serving the muse as a bass player, rhythm guitar player and back-up singer. She has steadily been writing, recording and performing live while also working in other fields. For the last five years she has been fronting the band MKB ULTRA with husband/recording engineer Jack Endino and various musicians (details to follow). She has also released the critically acclaimed solo album, "I Am A Diver" and snuck out a 12 song follow up a decade later called "Long Live The Days", recorded and co-produced by Johnny Sangster. Her third solo record is due out soon...very soon. Check back for more history and news.
